The pros and cons of administering the full RIOT battery versus select subtests

My research questionnaire is now set up on Qualtrics and is almost ready to go, pending final approval from the university. However, I know that they are going to ask me about the length of the test.

The data of interest are the broad CHC factors plus full-scale IQ. I know that having three subtests for each factor is likely to increase reliability and validity, and I have citations supporting that fact that I can deploy.

A further reason for keeping the full test is I do not want too much technical fiddling about. It’s easier just to provide someone with a link to the full test.

A considerable subset of my participants are likely to find the fact they can take a full battery and get a full profile more attractive than the alternatives (I assume they will see their scores if they are taking the test for research purposes)?

What are others’ thoughts on the technical pros and cons of using the full RIOT as opposed to a more abbreviated battery?
